The Lincoln First Year (LFY) project is a collaboration between the University Library and Digital Education & Student Life and is overseen by DVC Prof Liz Mossop. The aim of the project is to ease the transition of new first year students into university with support and resources provided in advance of them starting and available to them throughout their first year.

In 2020, the project was delivered via the Student Life and Learning at Lincoln websites, with students encouraged to download and sign up to the Student Life app to get regular updates and take part in challenges prior to arrival.
The content guide available via the button below provides details of the resources that were made available to students.
Learning at Lincoln
Developed in collaboration with the Library, the Learning at Lincoln website is a digital resource which supports student transition to university, by introducing the concepts of study and learning, enhancing attainment through the introduction of learning styles and teaching methods.
This tool consists of student-made content giving peer-to-peer advice and guidance and resources created by academic tutors, course leaders and support services all designed to help new students make a successful transition to study at university.
